Hamp's has to be one of the best kept secrets in Atlanta. He is off the beaten path, but the trip is well worth it. You can find everything under the sun at Hamp's. Hamp's is run by Hamp Phillips, who is retired and runs his tack store out of his house with the help of his children. He is always up for a chat, but
bring lots of
cash or a local check because he does not take plastic. He sells used and new English and Western saddles, halters, blankets, bits, buckets, horse boots, etc. He does not sell feed or hay. A word of caution: if you are buying a used saddle make sure you check the tree. Hamp is very honest and will tell you the history behind any piece of used tack if you ask, and he is also great about returns. If you make the drive you will have a great time visiting Hamp's. Leave yourself plenty of time to browse.
